255 Sunview, Waterloo

Mr. Aqeel was the principal architect for a new 12-story condominium building on Sunview Street in the Northdale area of Waterloo. The building, which has 180 units, is located on a quiet residential frontage street. 

Townhouses on the lower level, with a podium separating the tower, attempt to mitigate the effects of the development's scale on the neighborhood. The building form angles towards the primary approach to the development on University Avenue, promoting views of the city and providing more opportunity for exposure to the south to most of the units.
